PROF. OLEKSANDR KRASILSHCHIKOV

Currently a Professor in Sports Science at the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation of Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia. He also carries out invited national assignments in Malaysia and international assignments in Asia and Africa. He is a Visiting Professor, in the Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka). Advisory involvements include being an International Advisor to National Association of Physical Education and Sports Science (India). He is actively involved in High-Performance Sports Consulting. His areas of expertise cover Training and Exercise Methodology, Talent Recognition and Development, Performance Analysis, Coaching Science, Strength & Conditioning.Teaching experience began in 1982 at the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine as a lecturer, senior lecturer, and associate professor from 1982 to 1993. His applied science experience included work with SAI NSSC Bangalore in 1988 to 1990 (in charge of talent identification schemes) and then in 1993 to 2002 he was involved with Sports Authority of India as Training Methods Expert and as SAI coordinator for scientific support to the National Teams in more than 10 different sports in preparations to 1994, 1998 and 2002 Asian and Commonwealth Games and to 1996 and 2000 Olympics. He is American Council on Exercise certified Personal Trainer, Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant and Health Coach. He has been a recipient of Teaching Excellence Award in USM in 2006, best paper awards at the International Conferences in 2008 and 2013. His membership in professional bodies includes European College of Sports Sciences, Asian Council of Exercise & Sports Science, and National Association for Physical Education & Sports Science of India. He is a PhD thesis external examiner for 12 Universities from 4 countries. He is a reviewer, guest editor and associate editor for many National and International Scientific Journals. He is engaged by ELMS Sports Foundation as High Performance Sports Consultant for sports academies of Sports Authority of Gujarat, India.
